One of my favorite Easter Sunday traditions was when my Uncle bar-be-qued a whole leg of lamb, basted it with mustard, took all day.

Yeah, MsMadge, 31 days of it! That's why I chose that month to squiggle out of my mother's womb. She lied to me, said I was born on good friday (that's today this year). But I met someone whose birthday was on good friday in that same year, so mother was wrong. It was not the only time.
The cake, the ice cream, the candy, was all so good! Had to freeze a cake, couldn't eat it.

Oops, break is over-taxes, taxes, taxes. love love love doing my taxes. (our taxes).

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Ms. Madge!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.!

Hubs and I had an oldies but goodies dance yesterday. One song impressed me as sentiments to console those who have lost a loved one, and still missing them dearly. Here is the song, dedicated to my friends Gershun and Luckylu.....
Till Then
The Mills Brothers
(doo-doo-doom) (doo-doo-doom) (doo-doo-doom)
(rep-reddah-rep)
(doo-doo-doom) (doo-doo-doom) (doo-doo-doom)
(rep-reddah-rep)
Till then, my darling, please wait for me
Till then, no matter when it may be
One day I know I'll be home again
Please wait (till) till then
Our dreams will live though we are apart
Our love will always stay in our hearts
Till then, when of the world will be free
Please wait for me
Although there are oceans we must cross and mountains that we must climb
I know every gain must have a loss, so pray that our loss is nothing but time
Till then, we'll dream of what there will be
Till then, we'll call on each memory
Till then, when I will hold you again
Please wait till then (ooh)
Songwriters: EDWARD EDDIE SEILER, GUY B. WOOD, SOL MARCUS

That's a great avatar Sendhelp! Thank you for getting all us into the Easter spirit! I need a bit of cheer tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing Beauty and the Beast this weekend. And I'm hoping to see the stage presentation of Rodgers and Hammerstein production of Cinderella too.

MsMadge, here in central Cali, we are having winds too. Allergeries in full force.

An adult Easter egg hunt is great fun. We did it one year using the plastic eggs filled with candies. Avatars with Easter eggs all different varieties sounds fun!!!

Mom used to make the best cheese puffs when she and Dad had their cocktail parties. They called for those tiny jars of Old English cheese and bacon bits.
Every blue moon I make 'em,but it's very expensive.

One of my favorite things...cheese crisps.

Low-carb, crunchy and salty - satisfies that munchie need.

Use cracker cut slices of cheese or slice your own, but they need to be uniform slices about 2" x 2" square and less than 1/4" thick. The pre-made cracker cuts you buy in the store are perfect for this, even though they're a little on the pricey side. Cheddar, swiss, pepper jack - all work well for this. You can even use the deluxe American cheese (but not the stuff in the individual plastic wrappers - must be the deluxe or it just burns).
Lay them out on parchment paper on a baking sheet, about 1-2" apart so they don't melt together. Bake at 375* until they stop bubbling. It's ok for them to be slightly brown, but you don't want them to be burnt. If the middle is at all soft or soggy, they're not done. When done, they'll be completely crisp all the way through. Store in an airtight container or ziploc bag at room temperature or in the fridge - your choice.

Careful...they're addictive!

The poet Naomi Nye says,

Before you know what kindness really is

you must lose things,

feel the future dissolve in a moment

like salt in a weakened broth.

What you held in your hand,

what you counted and carefully saved,

all this must go so you know

how desolate the landscape can be

between the regions of kindness.[3]
