The "trick" is to go in and change them before they are soaked through.
My Husband went to bed at about 7 PM. (his choice from early on) and I would go to bed about 10. I would change him before I got into bed. Most of the time he would sleep through the change or fall asleep shortly after. And I would hear him about 4 or 5 AM and I would change him again and then I would begin my day about 5. (treadmill, shower, dress) then get him up about 7 and get him into the bathroom, and start his morning routine. So he was changed 2 times after going to bed. (and sometimes I STILL had soaked bedding, clothing and sometimes a puddle!)

There are several brands of premium incontinence briefs, there are also booster pads designed to be used in addition to the product you already have, I'm including a Canadian link so you will have to search for American sources but it should give a starting point

There's no such thing as an overnight disposable brief. You'll have to change your mother's brief once a night no matter what.
