What living options are available for a young adult in his 30’s, physically disabled with cerebral palsy, but mentally sharp? Parents are elderly and needing care themselves. The young man can transfer with assistance. He needs help with showers and dressing. Sounds like AL, but sad to be so young an living in a place with no other young adults. Parents were caring for him until recently.
I have a severely autistic nephew that is 40 and he lives in a group home in Michigan, and has for the last 10 years or so of his life and he really like it.
Best wishes in finding this young man the perfect(or best)place to live.
There are group homes for the handicapped so he wouldn't have to live alone. There are also places that are senior and handicapped housing together.
The local housing authority in his town/city would be the one to ask.

You county must have an office of disabilities. If you need help locating it, tell us where you live.
Have they worked with a Social Worker or PT that might be aware of housing that would be acceptable?
Just a few thoughts. I hope there are more answers
