Find Care & Housing
I think it's helpful to establish a bathroom schedule, most people tend to go around the same times every day and IMO catching even the occasional bowel movement is a real bonus for the caregiver. Try to plan bathroom breaks every 2 - 3 hours, especially after waking up and eating.

Sometimes Citrucel helps. Don't use metamucil, which is similar in foundation but which ferments differently in the gut, causing gas for some, which creates LESS, not more control. Citrucel, which is thought of as being for constipation, actually works for diarrhea. It usually, if taken at night, gives a good formed morning bowel movement, freeing one up for the rest of the day. Worth a try. CWillie is right about the schedule thing. Often it is good if it is morning cuppa, and a trip to bathroom, or cereal and trip to bathroom. Avoid things that cause bad roughage, popcorn, chips, etc.
