Find Care & Housing
The way my mom's long term care worked, was that I paid the bill out of her funds, sent a copy of the bill to the LTC insurance people, and they would send a check back to go into her account. Does your mother's work differently than that?

Did the LTC insurance people ever accept the place as somewhere they would cover? In my case, they wanted a lot of information plus a copy of the nursing home's licence.

I assume that the LTC insurance covers both assisted living and nursing homes. My mother's only covered nursing homes and home health care plus home builder care.

More information about the whole context of this would help.

I'm also confused. If your mother is in Assisted Living, how does that prevent you from working?

Right now we are paying out around 4800.00 a month and so far her long term care policy has not paid anything.

I'm confused for your profile says that your mother is living in assisted living? Is she running out of money?

You may need a lawyer to light a fire under the long term care insurance!
